I will not be there in person, but I do plan to jet-lag myself (in place) for a week, so hopefully I can join the session remotely ! |

Hi everyone,
Astropy is organizing its annual meeting, which will take place in** Santa Cruz from June 23–27, 2025**. As part of the meeting, we’ll be hosting a series of discussions focused on Astropy’s Quantity system — particularly planned improvements, which is relevant here.
We’d love to hear your insights, feedback, and any ideas you have about how we can enhance Quantity / Units to better serve the community!
If you’re in the Santa Cruz area and would like to join these sessions in person, please feel free to reach out — either here or via email. Unfortunately, we likely won’t be able to provide travel reimbursements, but we’re exploring the possibility of adding a Zoom component for remote participation. We’ll update as we have more details on that.
For logistics and general information about the meeting, see the Astropy UCSC Meeting 2025 Wiki.
Hopefully some of you are in the area and would like to come!
