Is there a way to listen to a form reset?

For example, say I have a nested child component of a form and I want to perform a side effect whenever the form is reset via the reset() method.

Is there a way to listen to the reset event? I am using isSubmitSuccessful from the form state elsewhere, so I was thinking something similar to that, submitCount, or some other formState prop.

I too want to listen in on the reset event, and am not sure how the combination of those two states would help me achieve that…

@Haraldson it's been a while since I solved this but looking back on it I think it was related to this issue.

If it helps, this is basically the final code snippet of what I ended up with for my use case:

@bellizio Thanks for taking the time anyway! I guess this logic kind of makes sense, but also relyes heavily on behavior that could change. @bluebill1049 Wouldn’t it be an idea to expose an isReset boolean which is true after resetting the form, until any further interaction/dirtying takes place?

I could possibly write up a better feature request/spec/use case for it, but I just don’t have the energy and headspace these days to get to a level of insight into RHF’s code base where I could meaningfully contribute code.
