io-ts-resolver "Could not find module"

Hello! I'm trying to use the ioTsResolver in my next app but i get the following error:

Error: Cannot find module '<path-to-app>/node_modules/fp-ts/lib/Either' imported from <path-to-app>/node_modules/@hookform/resolvers/io-ts/dist/io-ts.mjs
Did you mean to import fp-ts/lib/Either.js?

I tough it could be a problem with my ts configuration but honestly I never encountered this kind of error 👀

If you're using next (which you might be with next-env.d.ts in the include), adding experimental: { esmExternals: false } to next.config.js fixed this for me, see this issue (it says it's a yarn issue, but I'm using npm so 🤷 )
