Why can’t I see my commits or contributions showing up on my GitHub profile? #891

I’m new to GitHub and I recently created a few repositories and made some commits, but my contribution graph still looks empty. Do commits not count right away? Or is there something I need to enable to make them show up on my profile? |

That usually happens when the commits aren’t linked to your verified email on GitHub. Once they match, your contribution graph should update automatically within a few minutes. |

Go to Settings → Emails, check that the email used in your commits matches your GitHub account’s verified email.
