Picom autostart issue

Hello,
I am having issues with picom compositor not starting. I can't figure out why. My i3 config is in /etc/regolith/i3 and includes:

The file /usr/share/regolith/i3/config.d/80_compositor includes:

set_from_resource $i3-wm.program.compositor i3-wm.program.compositor /usr/share/regolith-compositor/init
exec_always --no-startup-id $i3-wm.program.compositor

and finally the init script looks fine as well:

I tried to add -b to the 80_compositor line starting the compositor but not chance.
For information, running picom from the terminal works fine.

Any tips on how to debug such issue ?

I finally found the issue.
Running picom alone was fine however runnig picom --config /etc/regolith/picom/config produced the following error:

I found out that I didn't have drivers for my Nvidia graphic card. Installing the right driver solved the issue.
