With the release of VS2026, I am about to upgrade from VS2022 to VS2026. I have the Reqnroll extension for VS2022, which raises my concern that I am probably not be able to use Reqnroll for automation testing. |

Unfortunately not. Strangely Visual Studio knows that the particular scenario line is a test (even if the Reqnroll extension is not installed! - this is why the navigation from the test explorer window works), but the code that allows showing and running the "run tests" command is filtered for files with a specific extension, like ".cs", ".vb" etc. I have once disassembled the code and found that. And the real unfortunate thing is that it is not only in the code that shows the command (we could quickly re-enable that), but also in the command execution as well. If someone would take the energy and would try to submit a feature request to the VS team to support this, I'm sure the Reqnroll community could provide quite many upvotes for it. So feel free! |
