How to upgrade Stackable operator in AWS Rosa

Hi Team,

We aw the version 25.3.0 is certified for ROSA but there is no option or steps mention how it will be upgraded there. Neither it is showing any upgrade button to automatically upgrade it from the marketplace.

Can you please share the steps that needs to be performed to upgrade these operators ?

Unfortunately it's currently not possible to automatically update the operators. You have to uninstall the previous version and install the new one. The steps are described in the release notes.

On OpenShift/ROSA you probably don't use the stackablectl command to (un)install the operators but most likely the catalog UI.

Your existing product deployments are not affected.

Observation during Stackable Operator upgrade to v25.3:
While upgrading to Stackable Operator v25.3, I noticed that the Commons Operator's install plan disappeared after installing the HDFS Operator. Here's the sequence of events:
An install plan was created and approved for the Commons Operator v25.3.
I proceeded to install other Stackable operators in the following order: Listener, Secret, Zookeeper, Airflow, and HDFS — each had its own install plan.
After installing the HDFS Operator, the Commons Operator's install plan was no longer visible.
However, the CSV and Subscription for the Commons Operator are still present and appear healthy.

How to fix this ?

After installing the HDFS Operator, the Commons Operator's install plan was no longer visible.

Usually, install plans are garbage collected by OLM when they are no longer needed. This happens after the operator installation was successful. I don't think there is a connection between the two events.

What actual problems are you facing?
