Feature to prevent note from repeating several times in a row?

Whenever I generate audio with Linuxwave, I frequently notice notes that are repeated several times in a row, making it sound unwantedly mechanical.

I'd like an option to set a max number of times in a row that a note can be repeated before moving to a new one.

Hey, thanks for the suggestion. Isn't this against the nature of randomness? I believe the job of linuxwave is to generate a tune from a random buffer and the user should be responsible for any post-production tweaks.

With that being said, I think a command-line argument could be added for this.

It is, but a lot of people who come to linuxwave (me included) are looking to produce more pleasing sounds at the risk of losing randomness.

Maybe a flag can be added for choosing complete randomness or including some post-processing. Also, if you don't want to do that, maybe adding a MIDI export option would be good for user post-processing.

Yeah a flag would be the most straightforward and easy-to-implement solution here I guess.

MIDI export would be also lovely imo
