Imprint masks to dds = bad results in 1.40?

I made two tiles +21-160 +22-160 for Kauai with imprint masks to dds true with version 1.40. This is what it looks like in XP12:

Work not this setting in 1.40 & XP12?

Seems like its caused by having decals enabled. Doesnt happen if imprint masks to dds set to false, even with decals on.
