Welcome to the osdev.wiki discussion board.
This is the place to share any idea or concern related to the wiki with the editorial community:

• Ask questions about any doubts or ambiguities that arise while reading articles,
• Share ideas on how to improve the wiki,
• Ask for help contributing to the wiki,
• Discuss site-wide refactors and provide feedback on future updates.

While this forum coexists with issues and pull requests it is important to note the distinction between them:
Pull requests serve for submitting new content, or changing existing content; issues serve for bugs (i.e. bad user experience, broken links, search issues, et cetera); and discussions serve discussing wiki contents, getting feedback on ideas, and similar.

Ground rules for the wiki:

1. Be nice! Civil discourse is not optional.
2. Keep it organized. If discussing a specific article, please include its slug in the title (e.g. calling_conventions: System V ABI needs a better red-zone description).
3. Appropriately use categories and labels. The discussion board is split into a few major categories:
   • Talk pages: for discussing site contents (but see rule 2),
   • Contributing Q&A: for getting help with contributions, writing, or even topics you want to contribute to (questions on phrasing and language, copyright concerns, sources, and anything else you might encounter while writing are accepted and welcome), and
   • Ideas: Requests for new features or changes to the site itself (not its content); these range from tweaks to the stylesheet to reworking how pages are organized in the source.
4. Search before opening new threads: A discussion you want to have might already be happening on the wiki, instead of fragmenting it, join existing ones.
