Other tracks are not hidden after selecting a track

• Open the panel "Tracks"
• Select a track (currently visible or hidden)
• The selected track opens in the panel
• The map moves to the correct position in order to display the track (however it is not scaled accordingly, see Map not scaled when clicking on favorite group or track #1445)
• If currently hidden the track is made visible
• All other tracks are still visible

Expected behavior:

• All other tracks are temporarily hidden
• After closing the selected track, all other tracks are shown as before

-> Same behavior as if selecting a favorite folder

Hi!

This is not the currently expected behavior, as it does not function that way on Android and iOS. This also applies to Favorites, because there is no mode on mobile that displays both the full list and the map simultaneously.

However, I believe we need to make this behavior consistent and improve the overall experience. Instead of automatically hiding other tracks and favorites, which removes helpful map context for some users, a better solution would be to provide a dedicated button. This button would allow users to temporarily hide other map data (a "Focus" or "Isolate" mode) while viewing a single track or a favorite folder, providing full control over the view.

Thanks for your reply. Fully agree that always hiding other tracks may also remove helpful context in some cases.

A dedicated "focus mode" is a nice idea. In particular to show more complex tracks consisting of separate individual segments, may be overlapping with other tracks.

Especially for favorite groups the (currently implemented) "focus mode" is indispensable.

In OsmAnd Web, selecting a track from the Tracks panel correctly opens the track details, pans the map to its location, and makes the track visible if it was previously hidden. However, all other tracks remain displayed, which can clutter the map and make it difficult to inspect the selected track—especially when multiple tracks overlap or include many segments.

The reporter is asking for a “Focus / Isolate” behavior for tracks: when a user selects a track, the UI should be able to temporarily hide all other tracks, and then restore their previous visibility states once the user closes the selected track.
