General Thoughts
Code & Best Practices
✔️ HTML has a super clear structure
✔️ Flawless code and clean folder organization
✔️ Very specific and well-written commits
Suggestions:
- I’d recommend creating a separate branch for each feature
- Check the comments at the css sheets!
Functionalities
✔️ All to-do's are working properly
✔️ Animated buttons, hovers, and anchors
✨ I absolutely loved the shopping cart: how the discounted price is shown when a promo applies, how clearly the total order amount is displayed, and the miniature product images are a nice touch.
Suggestions:
- In the shopping cart, I’d suggest showing the total amount saved (discounted) on the right-hand side.
(Here's a good example from an ecommerce site: Farfetch — check it out!) - Personally, I wouldn’t enable the checkout button if the shopping cart is empty — there’s really no point.
- I’d consider adding a clearer confirmation that the form has been successfully submitted.
- I’d also add blur/validation for each form field to ensure better UX.
UX
✔️ Mobile-friendly design!
✔️ Fixed navbar
✔️ Clean, minimal design with solid structure
✔️ Very nice detail with the phone prefix dropdown
✨ I love how the commercial claims are placed at a secondary attention level during checkout — subtle and effective.
Suggestions:
- A minimal color palette is totally fine, but if the main goal is conversion, CTA buttons should stand out more — either through color or shape.
At first, I thought the images were clickable because the buttons weren’t visually highlighted. - It's considered good practice to have at least one CTA visible above the fold, so users can take action as soon as the page loads.
- Related to the previous point: the hero container has good spacing but doesn’t add much value — consider adding a CTA or highlighting a promo there.
- I’d animate the discount banner to make the site feel more dynamic.
- I’d recommend thinking about whether the premium/deluxe look & feel aligns with the product categories.
For example, makeup, kids' clothes, and pasta often rely on branding and product experience to sell — make sure the styling supports that.
