Description
Describe the bug
When using the Overleaf Workshop extension in VS Code for a longer period—especially after the computer has been locked or gone to sleep—the extension appears to stay "connected" (as indicated by the status bar and visible list of users), but the collaboration is broken. I cannot see other users' real-time edits, and my changes are also not reflected on their side. Similar to #194.
Even though the extension shows that it's connected, the synchronization is silently lost.
Expected behavior
The extension should either:
Maintain live synchronization after lock/sleep cycles, or
Prompt a reconnection or warning if the real-time sync is broken.
In either case, edits made before reconnection should not be lost.
How To Reproduce
Open a project with the Overleaf Workshop extension in VS Code.
Work for a while.
Let the computer go to sleep or lock the screen.
After resuming, try editing the file.
Notice that:
Other users' edits are not visible.
Your edits are not received by others.
The connection still appears "active" visually.
Reopen the project to restore sync—but previous edits are lost.
Environment

VS Code version: 1.96.2
