Description
Dear community members and developers,
With the release of the latest version, v0.15.6, I am moving this personal project to a newly created GitHub organization, also called "overleaf workshop". This move is intended to encourage the community to get involved in the development of this project, while I fade out due to the lost of interest :)
It is a pity that I cannot make it to a stable version v1.0.0, which means there are still many defects (especially the local mode and file lost, I know a lot of people hate it) and demanded features not implemented. The project structure maybe a mess and the code maybe not understandable sometimes, but I think it works properly and I don't want to see this project ceased.
In the new community, I am going to invite collaborators as the repo maintainers, and complete the auto-publish workflow so that the maintainers can vote for PR merge and publish extension in an autonomous way. I hope you guys can enjoy using this extension while improving it yourself. Until the transfer is done, I will be in charge of the repo issues as usual: fix some minor issues, answer some common problems.
Anyway, I will be in back stage when the transfer plan is done, and then I may present less often here. Wish you enjoy the LaTeX coding life!
Yours Sincerely,
iamhyc
Transferring Plans
- transfer this project from
iamhyc/Overleaf-Workshoptooverleaf-workshop/Overleaf-Workshop - invite previous collaborators as maintainers (3 members now)
- complete the auto publish workflow
- change the extension name in vscode marketplace without
iamhyc(hope with no pain) - remove all the possible ownership marks
