New UI Integration

Is the new UI integrated in the latest docker image? If not, when will it be integrated?

Hello there. Unfortunately, current timeline isn't really available; it will most likely not be by the end of the year. (There is a lot of technical steps in order to get a new feature from the SaaS to the self-hosted version.)

…but if you can’t wait to see how it will look on your server, add the following to module.exports in services/web/config/settings.defaults.js:

@yu-i-i In v6.0.0, I added it at the end of module.exports in services/web/config/settings.defaults.js, persisted the changes and restarted the container. Unfortunately, it didn't work. New UI isn't shown.

You need to rebuild the image.

For me it worked without rebuilding.
I just

echo "module.exports.splitTestOverrides = {'editor-redesign': 'enabled'}" >> /overleaf/services/web/config/settings.defaults.js

and restarted the container
