Add Locking Support?

Wondering on your thoughts about locking certain versions so they can never be deleted unless they become unlocked? For example we are using versionable for contracts so they can be updated etc, but we always retain a copy of the exact version they were given.

Sorry for the delay, I mean for example a 'lock' on the version so that on purging or cleaning or attempting to delete it cannot be deleted until it is unlocked?
