[Feature Request] User Profiles for Playlists & Soundboards to Separate Game Contexts #153

Description

@coboye

Add the ability to create and manage "Profiles" within Kenku FM, allowing users to organize their playlists and soundboards by different game contexts (e.g., fantasy TTRPG, sci-fi TTRPG, gothic horror, etc.).

Use Case

Currently, users who run multiple tabletop RPG campaigns in different genres or settings must manually manage all their audio assets in a single space. This can become cumbersome and disorganized, especially when switching between vastly different atmospheres (e.g., a high-fantasy adventure vs. a cyberpunk heist).

Proposed Solution

Introduce a Profile system where users can:

  • Create multiple profiles (e.g., "Fantasy Campaign," "Sci-Fi One-Shot," "Gothic Horror").
  • Assign playlists and soundboards to specific profiles, keeping them separate and easily accessible.
  • Quickly switch between profiles to load the relevant audio assets for the current session.

Benefits

  • Organization: Keep audio assets tidy and contextually grouped.
  • Efficiency: Reduce setup time between sessions by loading only the relevant profile.
  • Flexibility: Allow for experimentation with different soundscapes without cluttering a single workspace.

Example Workflow

  1. User creates a "Fantasy Campaign" profile and adds medieval-themed playlists and soundboards.
  2. User creates a "Sci-Fi One-Shot" profile and adds futuristic ambiance and sound effects.
  3. Before a session, the user selects the appropriate profile to load only the relevant audio assets.
