Description
Currently using version v1.5.3.
While playing Youtube links in the in-app browser, a previous method for playing videos was to do so through embeds. The method would be through pasting a URL while adding an extra "_popup" in the link, or as an "embed" link. Example:
Example video: "In Planetary Orbit | Living in Peaceful Space
- Default link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPWYQ94Ief4
- Embed link 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=TPWYQ94Ief4
- Embed link 2: https://www.youtube.com/embed/TPWYQ94Ief4
Nowadays, trying it within the app results in "Error 153, Video player configuration error".
I reported this particular error about a month ago (October), but it seemed to have abruptly resolved itself within a day or so of my report, and was probably a Youtube-side error. However, the issue came back, which I'm presuming has something to do with Youtube rolling out some recent hud/interface changes for its video player, and now it doesn't work in my usual browser either (Firefox).
One workaround I've seen is being able to use browser feature to play its own embedded players, such as in search engines or sites that otherwise allow you to play Youtube videos. Perhaps this is something that could be looked into?
