modbus rtu to modbus tcp bridge

Hi

I was trying to use this componenet to convert a modbus RTU (serial) device to one that is accessible over modbus TCP.

In my esphome yaml I have:

On the same esp device I can use the same uart definition with the esphome modbus component to send mobus data to home assistant sensors directly. But what I am trying to do here is connectec to the esp using an integration that needs mobus tcp. Is this possible with this component?
