SPI operations: Hubris/Humility flag day

With the integration of #456, Humility will need to be updated to use the humility spi command. Moreover, the new Humility won't work on the old (pre-#456) Hubris. Example error messages are contained in #456; it should be pretty self-explanatory, but please let me know if you encounter issues!
