Breaking blocks in survival doesn't drop the item.

To Reproduce
Write clear step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce the bug from a new world:

1. Break a block.

Expected behavior
If a block breaks it drops an item, didn,t drop anything.

Minecraft client details:

• Version: 1.21.8
• Mods: None

Platform (if desktop):

• Operating System: MacOS
• CPU: i9-9980HK

Platform (if ESP variant):

• Chip: ESP32-c3
• Development board: the small ones on aliexpress
• Power supply: usb
• Internet properties: 2.4ghz

Are you able to consistently reproduce this?

Yes, i tried recompiling the code over and over again. Even on stock settings.

Okay, i lost focus a bit but i recloned the project using git. Used a full wipe on the flash and uploaded it to my board using platformio, its more stable than last time. (blocks dropping sometimes) something is sketchy with the compiling or the board itself.
