Using colon ":" as a part of the name component

Is it appropriate to use colon ":" as a part of the name component when defining OCI type artifact?
In the other words, is purl like below acceptable?
pkg:oci/nodejs:24@sha256%3A899bd7f941512d54af8ab369ca03028a7d27d05887ccce24bc12c7ccd3e4dbee?arch=amd64&repository_url=quay.io/namespace/nodejs&tag=24.11.1

Purl definition for OCI type is not disallowing using ":" as part of the name, but maybe it will generate a confusion and make an impression that it's an OCI image tag.

Opinions?
