Hi there -- I'm running an ETH L1 archive node at home on a single 4TB NVME drive (WD SN850x, TLC, PCIe 4x4). It's going great, but I see that I'm using about 3.2TB of storage right now, and I want to get ahead of any capacity issues.
I don't have high uptime requirements because I'm not validating; i.e., I'm only running one drive with no redundancy right now and I'm comfortable with that. I suppose I could buy an 8TB drive but that's incredibly expensive plus I have a 4 right now.
What does the reth team recommend for expanding storage? ChatGPT recommended two options:
Will the second symlink method cause any issues? What would you recommend?
I would also like to run a Unichain archive node, but I imagine I won't be able to do that for long in any case.
