Removal of LZO support in MAS v3.6.3 or later breaks connectivity for paid users on legacy servers

The Issue

The recent update to the Mac App Store version (v3.6.3 or later) removed LZO compression support. This has rendered the app unusable for me, as I need to connect to a corporate OpenVPN server that enforces LZO compression (which I cannot change).

The Deadlock for Paid Users

I purchased the MAS version specifically for the OTP feature, but this update has created a catch-22 situation:

• MAS Version: Forced update to v3.6.3 or later removed LZO. Downgrading is not possible on the App Store.
• GitHub Version: Supports downgrading to regain LZO, but lacks the OTP feature essential for my login.

Is the removal of LZO permanent?

Since I paid for the app primarily for OTP support, the current state means I have lost access to the product I paid for. I am asking for a workaround, such as:

1. Re-introducing LZO as a legacy option in settings.
2. Providing a way for paid users to use an older build with OTP support.
