Hello,

would it be possible to store the field length, i.e. the number of characters a text field, in the generated pocketbase.ts file? I think it would be nice, if the field lengths, which we define in the pocketbase admin UI are generated too and to use them for frontend code. I could also offer to contribute this feature, if this helps.

What use case did you have in mind?

Ideally this lib should only generate types and not code, but do we create objects for select field options. Perhaps it could be a cli option and outputs a separate file.

Regarding your question I stumbled upon this topic, when I was implementing text field length validation in a vue app at my day-to-day work. Afaik pocketbase text fields contain at max 5000 characters, now if we adjust that number to let's say 300 characters, it would be nice to have this characters length limit reflected in the pocketbase.ts file as well.

This way, when working with validation in the frontend, we could reuse that info, rather than keeping a file with text lengths for the frontend and trying to sync that with the text lengths defined in the pocketbase instance.

This is just a nice to have feature, most probably there are higher priority requests so no pressure, but I very much appreciate your thoughts on this, thank you!

Edit: A cli option sounds good for me too, this way one can choose to create field lengths, but does not have to. Btw the existing select field options are super useful!
