Bold style is missing in the response with List items in the latest PF chatbot version.

with "@patternfly/virtual-assistant": "2.0.0-alpha.61": bold style is applied in the list

with latest release "@patternfly/chatbot": "2.1.0-prerelease.26" bold style is missing.

After a bit of testing, this isn't actually an issue. Different models produce different responses and one of the model does not return markdown to make certain text bold while other does, so closing this ticket.
