Description
I am converting family DVDs to x265 MKVs (though this applies to MP4s as well).
I am missing one feature in Shutter Encoder that is making me have to use ffmpeg on the command line. The source DVDs have chapter marks that I had meticulously put in at the time I digitized from 8mm tape.
Adding the chapters is trivial. On the ffmpeg command line, I just add -map 0 -map_chapters 0 and they magically get transfered, like so:
Output #0, matroska, to '1992.08-1992.10.mkv':

VLC then sees the markers as do other players:
![]()
I think this would be a trivial feature to add in the Advanced panel, right with the subtitles and metadata checkboxes.
