Tab condition based on tab.id?

I had some issues with conditional tabs in production. While navigating through documents, after some time, all tabs were visible, but the fields inside were gone.

I had no issues locally or with a built app, this was only happening in the production environment, which was really weird. If I did a hard refresh, the problem was fixed, but after navigating through documents again, the issue came back.

So I did a quick dig through the UI package Tab field code and found this:

After I added ids to my tabs, the problem went away.

Is this maybe a bug? Shouldn't it be based on name or did I miss something in the docs?
