Enhancement suggestions for folders

While the current first implementation of folders is a good start, they are still lacking some UX and functionality features to make them viable in many cases.

Here are some suggestions for improvement:

• The grid/thumbnail size is rather large. Ideally there should be various size-options via a drop-down, and/or the default should be configurable per collection.
• For folders to be a viable alternative to the Nested Docs plugin, it would be important to be able to create translatable fields like e.g. slugs.
• Grid/thumbnail view does not make sense for certain collections (e.g. pages or posts). It would be great, if the default folder-view could be configured per collection, or grid or list view could be disabled completely for a collection.
• For them to be a true alternative to the normal list view, the list view of collection-specific folders should show the columns defined by admin.defaultColumns. Ideally it should also have the same columns-selection and filter-controls as the normal non-folder view.
• It would also be great, if multi-selection checkboxes and bulk-actions (delete, move, publish, etc) were also possible in folder view (at least in list view).
• All in all i feel the current implementation of folders causes the UX to be kind of "schizophrenic", providing two very different UI's with the legacy list view and the folder view with it's own (much feature-less) list view and each having it's separate UI. It seems folders were not thought of to be neatly and seamlessly integrated into the UI - more like an "alternative" UI. During editorial work, now one has to juggle three different views. In my opinion the best way forward would be to merge features of the legacy list-view into the folder-list-view (or vice versa) and drop the legacy view completely.
• A (collapsible) navigation tree sidepanel (like in Windows explorer, or Typo3) would rock!
