it would be nice not have eye icon for New Password / Confirm Password textboxes, the same way as API Key has

Impossible. The api key is encrypted so it can be decrypted. But the password is hashed, so it can not.
This is best for security.

I mean that when user types a new password it would be great just to see it, it is just and HTML <input /> and a clear text until it's sent to backend for hashing and saving ? Once it is saved it's ok not to be able to see it. Just for when the user is changing it
