Unable to retrieve JSON from GET request for /access routes

As an example, I can retrieve data from routes like mycms/api/collectionHere/IDHere but not mycms/api/access/collectionHere/IDHere. I get a 404 in the console from that GET route and the "Loading (category name here)" remains on the admin page.
