Description
Preflight Checklist
- I use the latest version of YouTube Music (Application).
- I have searched the issue tracker for a feature request that matches the one I want to file, without success.
Problem Description
Currently, when a user is listening to Spotify, Discord displays the artist’s name in the member list status (e.g., “Listening to Tyler, The Creator”). However, when a user is listening to music via YouTube Music, it only shows “Listening to YouTube Music,” even though artist and song data is clearly available for both when you expand their profile.
Spotify Example:
Shows “Listening to Artist Name.”
YouTube Music Example:
Shows only “Listening to YouTube Music”
Proposed Solution
Update the behavior so that Discord shows the artist name for YouTube Music listeners in the same way it does for Spotify.
Alternatives Considered
Show the album name being listened to.
