Epic

This is an epic describing a big feature. This first needs to be split down further into smaller issues.

The Problem

After finishing the survey, people are left without any help. In case the emergency lines are overloaded, or respond with not helpful answers / not competent answers (we had reports about this in the UX reviews), there is no access to help.

The Solution

Providing a feature that connects those cases with doctors that can provide answers and simply have a competent person to talk to.

Elements

The solution requires the following:

Requirements

  • Ask if further consultation with a doctor is wished. (Only show this question to cases matching certain conditions - in this case: symptoms or risk)
  • Establish a chat || voice call || video call beween a doctor and the user. (video call is better than chat)
  • Dispatch a request to a group of doctors (PUSH). The first doctor which accepts the request shall be connected.

Suggested Elements

  • Build a native app for the doctors to receive the push notifications. This app could contain: Authentication, List of Requests (with a button to accept a requst), chat or (video) call functionality.
  • The video call functionality could be realized via jit.si - secure and open source platform. This could be installed as external app but also react(native) libraries exist.
  • Authentication for doctors: It is important to only allow certified doctors. We could just handle this by having one operator adding their email to a database directly.
  • Legal: Check if jit.si is conform with legl standards and create/adjust waiver for medical consulation.
