If you follow the instructions exactly, you will inevitably encounter these errors:

It's a configuration error in the provided run_stlink_gdb_server.bat file. The example assumes the SWD debugger, and the .bat file uses -m 0, which stands for JTag. Simply replace it with -m 1.

Indeed -m 0 isn't always appropriate, though most MCUs have only one access port. I've created PR #3.
