I've been stuck editing in vi for ages because the muscle memory is so ingrained... Unfortunately, Vim as an IDE always seems to be a hack and my plugins are always breaking, especially when moving from machine to machine which is really the point of Vi as opposed to a local desktop application.
So I'm quite impressed with using "vim-plus-plus" and inside of Atom to make a very nice Perl 6 IDE.
If you would include it in this page, I would be happy to write an "Vi mode, Atom Perl 6 IDE" section. I'm not an Emacs user, but we could also find someone to write an Emacs version...
