Can I disable the built-in citation for some requests?

It's unnecessary for my service to enable the citation feature all the time, so I'm wondering if it's possible to disable it by a slight tweak?

If you are tier-3, one option might be to set the search_domain_filter to a non-existing domain: "search_domain_filter": ["thisdomainisunlikelytoexist1234432.com"].
