Perplexity unable or unwilling to link amazon products?

I am trying to make an assistant that finds highly rated books on Amazon that cover a requested topic. I am using Perplexity API as well as trying on the perplexity.ai. I am finding that the results are fantastic, but for certain books it will not find me an amazon link. I have gone on Amazon and simply searched the title/author and Amazon has it, but perplexity won't find it, and when prompted to find
one of these books on amazon (that it previously couldn't find) it says it doesn't have access to amazon blah blah (some generic LLM excuse stuff) when clearly it does.

I read there was some issues with scraping amazon & legality, so I was thinking it may have access to books that were listed on amazon ONLY before some scrape blocker was implemented? The publish dates of the books don't corroborate that though as it found some books from 2022 and not others from the same year. Any insight would be appreciated!
