How to detect charging session end for reporting?

Hi,

I'm using the silla-prism-integration to manage a Silla Prism charger at a vacation home. My goal is to generate reports on charging sessions for guests, so it's crucial to determine when a session has ended.

Could you please advise which entity or combination of entities allows me to recognize the end of a charging session?

I just wanted to add a detail I forgot to mention: in my specific use case, charging is managed only via the RFID cards provided by Prism's Horeca system.

Maybe you can use the current_state entity this can assume four states ("idle", "waiting", "charging", "pause")

Prism will go to "waiting" state every time is ready to provide power but the car don't want to receive.

As far as I can understand you can go in the waiting state in 3 conditions:

1. The car is full
2. The car is not full but charge is postponed by the car itself.
3. A temporary phase when prism go from idle/pause state to charging state passing for waiting state for my car the duration of waiting state is a few seconds.

So maybe you can detect the end of charge event using the current_state entity checking his transition from any other state to waiting state and checking that the waiting state is stable for more than 30 seconds (as example i think that the delay depends from the EV).

You have to be sure that you don't use the postponed charged function of you car otherwise you have to check the state of the car also.

Just sharing a simple idea: why not count as "session" everything that happens while the car is connected?
A session will start when current_state changes from idle to anything else, and ends when current_state changes back to idle.

Just to be clear: does idle state mean the car is unplugged, or simply plugged in but not actively charging?
Understanding this distinction is key for my reports.

Idle state is meaning that prism is not plugged, if the prism is plugged but not charging can be either in waiting (waiting for car to be ready) or paused state.
