As I understand Antonio no longer maintains this config. A few important changes were requested but were never applied.
For those who're looking for a maintained version take a look at wodby/drupal-nginx, this is the source for docker container images with Nginx configured for Drupal (6/7/8). Images are based on lightweight Alpine Linux, configurable via environment variables and actively maintained.
