Browser testing on Windows very slow

Really excited to have browser testing but I've found that every test takes around 30 seconds!
e.g.:

it('shows the landing page', function () {
    visit(route('central.landing'))
        ->assertSee('Welcome');
});

I'm using Laravel Herd on Windows 11. I wonder if it is just an architecture issue. Has anyone got better test times? If so I'll keep trying to figure out why mine are slow....

Having same issue, also using multi tenancy like you

If I run the tests with --headed or --debug i notice that it's opening like 30-40 chrome windows and exhausting my machines resources which is probably why I'm having issues

I've got a temp-fix at the moment. I just do this:

it('may welcome the user', function () {
    $page = visit('/');
    $page->assertSee('Welcome');
    $page->page()->close(); // I do this at the end of each test after my assertions/expectations.
});
