My blog is repeat pinging mentions

I've been getting reports of mention pings being sent multiple times an hour from one of my pages (this one).

I'd like some help finding out why.

I've done some digging, but I'm not sure if this is the cause.

In the field for posts where the pinged links are stored, it stores the target without a trailing slash, but the post uses a trailing slash in the link. Does the thing that does the pings see example.com and example.com/ as the same thing?

It looks like the Webmentions from that page have stopped. The last one I received was 2025-05-18 14:54 Pacific timezone.

Ideally, example.com and example.com/ should be treated the same, though I doubt that would be causing the re-sending. It looks like all but the latest Webmention your site sent included the trailing slash in my domain; only the last one was without it.
