We are going to close this issue.

Dropping a distribution already cascades to all related objects, so a separate DROP KEY RANGE workflow is no longer necessary. With the current CASCADE behavior, key ranges are removed automatically as part of the distribution removal.

Because of this, DROP KEY RANGE has effectively become obsolete.

Ok, still there are situations when DROP KEY RANGE comes in handy, for example in feature tests.
