The following code:

Resulted in this output:

But I expected this output instead:

Indeed, that issue is fixed for PHP 8.3.13-dev (PHP 8.3.13 is scheduled for 2024-10-25). Thank you @DanielEScherzer!

@chongwick, thank you finding and reporting such issues. Please always update to the latest PHP 8.3 release (currently PHP 8.3.12).
