Mapping/Category Colors Transfer

I am very confused about how the mapping works. I have tried many different scenarios to understand it but it doesn't seem to be consistent or what I expect to happen anytime I try. I love this application and I thank you for continuing to support it. I just wonder is there any specific tutorial on how to get categories to successfully transfer or maybe once they are changed in outlook, how do I make them change in google if they have already been created w/ an inaccurate category from the start, if that makes sense? Also what does "test color" mean exactly? and why don't colors update after I map them? Thank you!

The "test map" shows what colour maps to what, following the rules you have configured in the table below it.

As per the information icon in the "What" section, changes only affect new items - if you want to update already synced items you need to run a full sync by pressing Shift while clicking the Sync button.
