New Profiles are being lost when restarting OGCS

Making sure to click the "save" button, when I put the
computer to sleep, the profiles were all there when I woke it up. But the
problem recurred when I restarted the computer (I have OCGS set to start up
with the computer) - 3 of the 4 profiles were gone.

I'm a relatively new user to OGCS. I can't recall if it happened with the
prior version, or if it started when I updated it to 2.12.

Let me know if you'd like me to test anything else.

Hi, sorry for the delay. I'm attaching the log file from Feb 10 - this is when, after restarting the computer, I noticed that three of my profiles were missing (with only "4 Personal" remaining). I'm also attaching the profile from the prior day I used the computer (Feb 8), in case that is helpful. Let me know if you need anything. And if it happens again, I'll send additional log files. Your 8-Feb log file just shows a big blank of apparently no activity, from in the middle of starting up to the end of the day - that seems a bit suspicious like something was blocking it. Judging from the other log file I think it was blocked by the Outlook security pop-up that was never cleared? There's no evidence of OGCS deleting Profiles in either log, though I can see on 10-Feb when OGCS is started that there is only 1 Profile present in the settings.

On computer 2, it's slightly different, but there's no evidence that OGCS was shut down - just the logs stop after a sync and you minimising the application on 4-Feb. Then on 11-Feb, starting OGCS which shows the settings file is from v2.11.7 yet, there is no evidence that you performed an upgrade and you were already running v2.12.0 on the 4-Feb with that same settings file.

So...what happened on computer 2 between 4-Feb when it was running v2.12.0 and 11-Feb when you started v2.12.0 again, but the settings file had somehow reverted to v2.11.7? If you can answer that, you'll be on your way to finding the root cause - but my gut feel is it's not OGCS that somehow reverted the settings file...

Thanks Paul, appreciate these insights. I'll keep an eye out for recurrence of this issue. I just started up Computer 1, and all four profiles are there, so maybe the issue has been addressed? Regarding the Outlook security pop-up - is there any way to stop that from recurring? I click "Allow" but it keeps popping back up from time to time.

Not addressed from within OGCS no - but as I say, I suspect something outside of the application reverted the settings file. Perhaps a system restore, or you have cloud backup configured on that directory and it reverted the file...something like that??

Security popups suggestions are in the wiki - normally adding a delayed start-up to OGCS gives your system enough time to update its virus definitions. I see you don't have a delay configured...
