When you start typing into a search input, Chrome and Edge, but not Firefox, automatically display on the right hand side a small 'x' to click to clear what has been typed in.
This 'x' lives in a user-agent shadow-root, so you can't access it with javascript but can with CSS!
The one on the examples page displays the 'x' as provided by the user agent. Would the idea of having a pico consistent 'x' be something that interests the community? I've done it with 7 lines of CSS.
