notifications not working?

maybe it's me, but I'm trying to validate changes for work on #131 and notifications don't seem to work at all.

I tried changing the interval in the calendar settings to 60 sec, both responding yes to an event and submitting no response. I don't get an notification in the regular notifications either.

I could just be doing something wrong but i'm not sure.

edit: just double checking it's not my fault for running against the tip of nodebb main

They were working last I checked. Do you see a "notification daemon started" in the logs?

I will do more digging tonight, I was getting tired yesterday.
