Audacity is still using gtk2 and qt5, they are working in modernizing it, so I want to make git builds instead which use qt6 however the AUR package has a ton of issues it seems.

can you not build it straight form the source instead of AUR?

just let the AUR packager know about the issue, they actually introduced this regression a few days ago.

Imma move with kidcad in the meantime.

Alright this got worse. I was able to build and install the AUR package but it doesn't work

The CI run actually shows the binary doesn't work:

I tested it building locally in an archlinux container and the same issue happens, and it seems to have broken all Qt apps in the container

Oh shit!

The AUR package is installing the qt.conf file that Audacity uses to make its appimage 😹 This means that if you install that AUR package all your Qt apps will break

Audacity is still broken after fixing that though
