like python 2, people have need of node 12, so we should try.

If aarch64 is a no-go then we may need to figure out how to specify that information in the package.yaml :/

ah, node12 requires python2.7 to build, which we didn't have until recently.

however, there's an issue with drifting version requirements that we're butting up against. i strongly doubt node20 builds with python2.7. i may have to use some tricks. bad tricks.

the trick is ignoring configure, ironically.
