Due date removed functionality

Hello! In the previous update we used 1.24.4 the feature of togglable "Due Date" and comment action pinning were added. Recently we upgraded to 2.0-rc3 and now we see these features rolled back

Are they planned to return or they abandoned indefinetely?

Hey!

About the Due Date - we changed how it works because of the new List Types feature. Now, if a list is of the "Closed" type, cards in that list are considered closed, and the due date appears greyed out. We've already received feedback that a manual "Close" button for cards would be useful, and we're definitely considering how to implement that alongside List Types.

As for "comment action pinning" - I'm not entirely sure what you mean by that. Could you clarify? I'd love to understand better so we can look into it.

Regarding the comment UX, I am about the feature added in #924

And for the Due Date, it's usually set for deadline tracking, notifications, etc. I also saw some discussions on the matter of due date notifications in the project. In Trello Due Date changes it's color from white when it's enough time till deadline, to orange when the due date is tomorrow and red when its overdue. With grey label it blends with the rest of the card so the responsible person can miss that it was ever set. So imo it would be great to have some notifs about deadline setting, running out and or completion

Regarding the color changes - this should already work in PLANKA. The due date turns grey only if the card is in a list with the "Closed" type. In any other list type, it should appear colored based on the deadline status.

I completely agree about the need for deadline notifications. I've been thinking about implementing them - the main thing left is to figure out the architecture. Since PLANKA can run with multiple Node.js processes, we need to ensure that only one instance sends notifications. We'll probably need to introduce Redis and a queue system like BullMQ to handle that reliably.

Oh for real! I didn't notice that the overdue dates get red, I think I got distracted by the ability to make the "Done" lists as closed😅 And by that time all of the "overdues" were already closed, sorry about that. Thank you for quick responses
